Excess (Xs) Services
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, there are some things that we will be forced to levy extra charges for. We have tried to keep these Excess (Xs) charges to an absolute minimum, but other costs may have to be charged in what we consider to be Edge (or extreme) circumstances. These charges may include, but are not limited to the following ...
- Payments over £10,000.00 – Because of the nature of handling potentially very large amounts in one payment, we have to cap the amount on which we are prepared to charge our low rates. Therefore, all amounts over this threashold will attract an additional fee of £5.00 for every £1,000.00 (or part thereof) and still represents a massive saving to you.
-
Cheque Processing – Processing a cheque is a laborious and risky affair. Also, it has
the potential of holding up your payment by a massive 7 days! Our charges for processing
a cheque are ...
- A cheque up to the value of £1,000.00 will incur a £5.00 charge;
- Over this £1,000.00 limit will incur a charge of 1% of the cheque value.
- Payment Repair Charges – Should it be necessary that our bankers have to repair any payments due to incorrect bank account details given to us, this could be an incorrect IBAN or BIC for example, Priority Accounts will have to pass the repair cost back to you. This cost varies, but can be as much as £25.00 per repair. Repairs can also slow down a payment by as much as 14 days!
- Multiple Payments – One payment can be split between multiple bank accounts, however these secondary payment instructions will only be made using the standard payment method (BACS) for payments made in GBP to UK banks. Where you would require further priority payments to be made, these will be charged for at the banks rate, currently £15.00 each.
- Receiving Bank Charges – It may occur that from time-to-time, some Agents making currency payments to us will instruct their bank to charge us for the payment. This is a charge made to you by your Agent. Therefore, should Priority Accounts incur a payment charge by the senders bank, we will pass this charge on to you. If the payment made was for multiple invoices for different contractors, then the charge will be divided up between the group.
